Р 4.2 Независимый причастный оборот

Независимый причастный оборот – это причастие в функции обстоятельства с самостоятельным подлежащим. Независимый причастный оборот, как правило, отделяется от главной части предложения запятой. Переводится обстоятельственными придаточными предложениями с союзами так как, потому что, поскольку, после того как, когда, хотя, если, где; или союзами причем, а, и, если стоит в конце предложения. Выбор союза определяется контекстом. Независимый причастный оборот может вводиться предлогом with.

Упр. 10 Р.10 Переведите следующие предложения на русский язык. Преобразуйте независимый причастный оборот в придаточное предложение.

1. Weather permitting, we’ll start off tomorrow.

2. This being done, we may carry on with the experiment.

3. That being so, there is much to be said for a preliminary study of the question.

4. Our task having been finished, we left the city.

5. The Conference being over, the delegates went away.

6. The negotiations were conducted behind closed doors, measures having been taken that no correspondent should receive any information.

7. Ten experts came from ten countries with Britain represented by Prof. Arthur Brown.

8. Again the main subject of the talks was NATO with the two Ministers dealing in detail with plan presented by Britain.

9. The new type of electrode having been thoroughly tested, its commercial production started.

10. The data were pooled for statistical analysis with a single datum included for each bird.

11. Technology having reached a high stage of development, new methods became possible.

12. The metal became corrosion-resistant, the special coating having been applied.

13. The deposit is not to be developed, the ore being too poor.

14. The head of the laboratory being away, the new equipment was not to be installed.
