Структура предложения

При чтении важно быстро определять, является предложение сложным или простым. Как главное, так и придаточное предложение сложноподчиненного предложения должны содержать подлежащее и сказуемое.

Упр.8.1 Определите, является подчеркнутая часть предложения главным предложением, придаточным предложением или нет (если она не содержит подлежащего и сказуемого).

1. Before he entered public service in 1794, John Quincy Adams was a successful Boston lawyer.

2. King Edward VIII of England abdicated his throne in 1936 because the government disapproved of his marriage plans.

3. Adsorption, which is often confused with absorption, refers to mixing or intermingling of two substances.
