Вживання:

після дієслів to consider, to believe, to find (у пасивному стані).	The computer file was found deleted.

Indefinite Gerund	1.Одночасна з дією, вираженою дієсловом присудком.	My friend is interested in collecting new accounting data.
	2.Дія, виражена безвідносно до якогось певного часу.	Seeing is believing.
	3.Майбутня дія по відношенню до дії, вираженої дієсловом-присудком (після дієслів to intend, to insist, to suggest).	He suggested implementing the sales manager’s plan.
	4.Дія, яка передує дії, вираженій дієсловом-присудком (після дієслів to forget, to apologize, etc).	The secretary doesn’t remember sending the fax.
Perfect Gerund	Дія, що передує дії вираженій дієсловом-присудком.	Thank you for having sent me a new price list.
Active Voice	Іменник або займенник, до якого відноситься герундій, є суб’єктом дії, вираженої герундієм.	The chief was excited and could not stop talking.
Passive Voice	Іменник або займенник, до якого відноситься герундій, є об’єктом дії, вираженої герундієм.	Any employee has no right to come to the President’s office without being invited.

☺Дієслова, після яких вживається герундій: to admit, to advice, to complete, to consider, to delay, to discuss, to dislike, to enjoy, to finish, to forget, to keep, to mind, to miss, to recommend, to remember, to stop, to suggest, to understand.

Adverbial Clauses (Підрядні обставинні речення)

☺ Підрядніобставинні речення виконують функцію різних обставин головного речення і поділяються на підрядні речення часу, місця, причини, наслідку, мети, способу дії та порівняння.

Adverbial clauses of time (підрядні речення часу).	з’єднуються з головним реченням за допомогою сполучників: when коли; after після того як; before перш ніж, перед тим як; while у той час як, поки; as коли, в той час як, в міру того як; till, untill поки; whenever кожного разу коли; as soon as як тільки; as long as поки; since з того часу як.	I worked for the international company before I moved here. They’ll finish their work before the director returns from his business trip.
Adverbial clause of condition(підрядні речення умови)	if якщо; unless якщо не; except if якщо тільки; provided that при умові; on condition за умови.	He will tell you everything providedyou keep it secret. I’ll ring you up if I learn something new.
G В підрядних реченнях часу й умови не вживається майбутній час, замість нього вживаються відповідні форми теперішнього часу.
Adverbial clauses of place (підрядні речення місця)	where де, куди; wherever де б не, куди б не;	His documents were where the secretary had left them.
Adverbial clauses of cause (підрядні речення причини)	because бо, тому що; as, since оскільки, тому що; for через те що.	Since our partners feel bad, they should rest.
Adverbial clauses of result (підрядні речення наслідку)	so, that так що, тож.	New equipment was so expensive that we couldn’t pay for it.
Adverbial clauses of purpose (підрядні речення мети)	so that, that, so, in order that щоб; lest щоб не	Prepare all documents so that we are eligible for a credit.
Adverbial clauses of manner and comparison (підрядні речення способу дії та порівняння)	as як; as... as так … як; not so... as не так … як; than чи; as if, as though наче, ніби; the more... the more чим більше … тим більше.	I shall do as I like. The more you read the more you know.
