1. Predict the events of the story by its title.

2. Look at the words from the story. What the story may be about? Make up your story then listen and compare.

11. Listen and write notes about … in the chart. Work with a partner. Compare your notes.

12. Listen and order the lines of a poem.

13. Listen to the sentences, match the beginnings with the endings.

14. One pupil should listen to the text and retell it to his group-mate. His group-mate should retell it to the next (P1 → P2 → P3 → …). Listen to the last pupil. Then all the pupils listen to the original story and compare it with the last story they’ve heard.

15. A teacher writes sentences from the story on strips of paper. Every pupil chooses one and learns it by heart. There should be as many strips of paper as pupils in the group. Then the pupils tell their sentences to everybody in the group and they decide together in which order all the sentences are used in the story. Then they listen to the story and compare it with theirs.

13. Jigsaw listening. Work in two groups. Group 1, listen to text A, Group 2, listen to text B. Answer the questions in pairs. Compare your answers.
