A town has only two bus routes. Route A has twice as many buses as route B. The probability of a bus running late on route A is and the probability of it running late on route B is At a certain point on the route the buses run down the same road. If a passenger standing at the bus stop sees a bus running late, use Bayes’ theorem to find the probability that it is a route B bus.
