A. Прочтите диалог, обращая внимание на формы глаголов в про-шедшем неопределённом времени.

Новые слова: wallet – бумажник; line – очередь; shower – душ; embarrass – смущаться.

John: Hallo, George. I saw you with a pretty girl at the movies last Saturday.

George: Yes, I was there. I had a terrible experience.

J.: What happened?

G.: Saturday afternoon I met a nice girl. Her name was Barbara. We came to the restaurant, sat down and began to talk. We drank coffee and talked for two hours. I invited her to the movies and she said, "Thank you". I went home and wrote some letters. Then I took a shower, changed my clothes and ate dinner. I left home at seven and met Barbara. We walked to the theatre. I got in the line for a ticket. At the ticket window I reached for my wallet but I could not find it. My face became red and I was very embarrassed. I said: " Barbara, I'm sorry. I forgot my wallet...". She lent me two dollars and I bought the tickets.
