Yevpatoriya merchant sea port

The Emperor of Russia Pavel the first issued a manifesto in 1798 to establish a free harbour procedure. Yevpatoriya merchant sea port is a state enterprise administered by the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine.

The port is located on the northern coast of Kalamitskiy Gulf of Yevpatoriya Bay. Position: latitude – 33⁰10^/North; longitude – 33⁰21^/ East.

Port Yevpatoriya water area is bounded by the arc of a circle with 2 mile radius, centred at the lighting buoy of berth №2 and by the coast line. Navigation is all year round as the port waters do not freeze, nor has icy covering ever been noticed.

Ships may enter and leave the port at any time round the clock, provided they have the permission to do so from State Port Control Inspection. On arrival orders for any port services should be submitted to the port Operator together with the ship’s primary information. Clearance of the vessel’s inward and outward is performed on board the ship by the port Control Master on Duty.

The port can accommodate vessels up to 130 m length and 4,5 m draft. Speed of ships in port water area and at the anchorage №382 must be kept to the minimum necessary for keeping the ship fully under control. In cases when visibility is less than 1 NM, one-way traffic is realized.

The port can handle 800,000 tons of cargo per year. Nowadays the port provides the cargo-passenger transfer to Turkey and back. The import-export Ferry Complex can accommodate Ro-Ro vessels and handle up to 10,000 extra-heavy trucks annually. The length of passenger berthing line is 438 m. The cargo-passenger complex in Donuzlav handles sand and has TIR truck parking lot.
