D. Work in pairs



■ Act out the dialogue (of Mr.Braine and the assistant) with your group-mate.

■ Act out a talk Mr. Braine might have had with his wife after he returned home without having tickets.

i Act out a dialogue Mr.Braine might have had with the assistant in the afternoon when at last he got the tickets.

e. Let's revise the use of articles. Say what articles are used with:

■ names of sciences ■ names of cities and airports

■ names of continents and countries ■ names of hotels

■ all the nouns associated with water ■ food and food items

f. Translate into English paying attention to articles:

The man gets into the car and closes the door.

The man searches for a window winder.

Salesman: The switch is in the middle.

The man fumbles with several knobs.

The man tries to find the door knob.

Salesman: Push the knob forward. Push the knob forward.

The man at last manages to open the door.
