Сравнение различных способов выражения будущего времени

1. Present Simple употребляется для передачи будущих действий, которые произойдут согласно утвержденному графику, расписанию и т.п. В этом случае в предложении обычно содержится обстоятельство времени, которое указывает на будущее время.

Hurry up! The tour bus leaves in five minutes.

The sale finishes on Friday.

When does Bill return from his vacations?

Can you tell me what time the game starts tomorrow?

2. Present Continuous употребляется для передачи будущих действий, которые кем-либо заранее запланированы и обязательно произойдут.

Brad is leaving by the first train tomorrow.

They’re going to Cyprus for their holidays.

He is seeing the doctor about his leg tomorrow.

They are celebrating their third successive win tonight.

3. Оборот be going to + инфинитив часто употребляется в английском языке и выражает намерение говорящего совершить действие в будущем и, как правило, переводится на русский язык глаголами собираться и намереваться.

I am going to do a computer course to upgrade my skills.

She is going to explain everything tomorrow.

Оборот be going to может также использоваться для выражения действия, которое, по мнению говорящего, должно неизбежно произойти в ближайшем будущем. При этом время совершения действия обычно не указывается.

The test is going to be difficult.

Тест, вероятно, будет трудным.

Look at that tree! It’s going to fall.

Посмотри на это дерево. Оно сейчас упадет.

What’s the matter with her? It looks like she’s going to faint.

Что с ней? Похоже, она сейчас потеряет сознание.
