Fundamental tissue types

There are four types of fundamental tissues in the human body: epithelial, connective, muscular, and nervous. All the tissues of the body can be defined as soft tissue except bone. Furthermore, they believe that soft tissue is the most common site of functional impairment of the musculoskeletal system. Therefore most sports-related injuries occur to the soft tissues.

Short-term goals are therefore goals that may be achieved in 2 to 4 weeks after injury.     Functional testing. Functional testing may be performed to determine the athlete's functional level for safe reentry in sports.
