Аналітичні форми

I	should (для 1-го і 2-го л.) + Indefinite Infinitive або Perfect Infinitive[1] would (для інших осіб)
II	should (для всіх осіб) + Indefinite Infinitive або Perfect Infinitive*
III	would (для всіх осіб) + Indefinite Infinitive або Perfect Infinitive*

Синтетичні форми

IV	інфінітив без to для всіх осіб (be, take, write)
V	форма, омонімічна формі: а) Past Indefinite — wrote, worked, were (для дієслова to be — were для всіх осіб) б) Past Perfect — had written, had worked, had been	виражає дію, що належить до теперішнього чи майбутнього часу виражає дію, що належить до минулого часу

Уживання умовного способу в підрядних реченнях
