R: Is anything you couldn’t get used to in Novosibirsk?
K: Everything is different for me here: food, work, metro, language, so I simply had to get used to all of it.
R: Which Novosibirsk habits would you like to keep when you return to Hungary?
K: Oh, I enjoy the tradition of getting a taxi in the street which is not a real taxi! You can just raise your arm and go, and it’s safe and common!
R: Is there something you couldn’t get used to in Novosibirsk?
K: I could never grasp why people start getting into the metro and buses before the ones getting off would have exited. It’s like sumo wrestling with many participants.

R: What was the biggest shock for you in Novosibirsk?
E: To see changes in the architecture. Half pleasant, half negative shock. Red-bricked houses of mixed architectural styles look awful.
R: What is the coolest place in Novosibirsk?
E: I guess it is the kitchen. Whatever you go – it doesn’t matter if the apartment is big or small – people end up drinking and talking in the kitchen. My Novosibirsk friends say it’s a habit from the past.
R: Did you have to quit any of your habits or hobbies since you came here?
E: Well, I have to learn not to be punctual however funny it may sound. Otherwise I waste my time waiting for people.

R: What was your first impression of Novosibirsk?
B: Just great! It’s full of different characters. The rhythm of its life bears resemblance to a heart of a living thing. It never rests.
R: Which Novosibirsk habits would you like to keep when you come back to where you live?
B: To stay with your friends until five in the morning, and then sleep for five hours, wake up and feel refreshed. I can’t explain why but in Novosibirsk five hours sleep is enough for me.
