Aircraft Structural CAD Design Engineer - Bournemouth - Permanent - £30 - £35K/annum
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures CAD Design Engineer for a permanent position in the South West.
Main duties will be the design, development and modification of structural systems and aircraft components; the preparation of reports, procedures and instructions; ensuring that systems and modifications meet requirements and specifications set by the client; dealing with systems engineering problems and participating in providing acceptable solutions; liaising with other technicians in the Design Office in order to produce comprehensive solutions; attending design reviews and associated meetings; compilation and maintenance of design and modification documentation; solving problems and implementing ideas; adhering to company process/procedure and liaising with internal stakeholders and relevant departments.
To be considered for this six month contract, you must have the following experience and attributes:-
- aircraft structures design (either military or commercial)
- CAD (AutoCAD Lite or SolidEdge or Pro-Engineer or Catia)
- aircraft modification and repair experience
- knowledge of EASA regulations is a distinct advantage.

The Position: We are seeking to appoint Licensed Aircraft Engineers (A/C &/or Avionics) to work in our 'state-of-the-art' new engineering facility within our maintenance departments, i.e. Base Heavy, Base Light, Line Maintenance, Maintenance Control Centre and our workshops, i.e. Avionics, Powerplant, Cabin and Structures sections. The successful applicant will be required to technically handle and certify Emirates fleet/components and third party aircraft to the highest level of professional standards whilst leading a highly skilled team of mechanics. Responsibilities will include certification, maintenance and serviceability of aircraft/components whilst ensuring superior safety standards are upheld.

Experience and Qualifications:

Must have at least 5 years experience as a certifying engineer on any of the following Emirates fleet type such as Airbus A330, A340, A380 or Boeing B777.

Must have served approved apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance from a recognized body.

Fluency in English is essential.
