Let me introduce myself. My name is …. I am from Russia. I am a police officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. My rank is a lieutenant of police.

I am from the (employee's, service man's, police man's etc.) family. I was born on the 29^th of April, 1975 in Volgograd. I am 37 years old.

My parents, a mother and a father, are pensioners. I have a brother and a sister. My brother is also a police officer. He is a detective of the Criminal Detective Department. My elder sister is a lawyer.

I am married. My family is not large. I have a wife, a daughter and a son. My wife is a teacher of the English language at school and my children go to school. My son is 7 years old and my daughter is 4 years older.

After school I entered the Volgograd State University. I wanted to become a lawyer. I studied many subjects: Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Civil Law, Criminalistics, Psychology, etc. We learned to interview and interrogate witnesses and criminals, search a crime scene, to take pictures and find evidence.

Now I serve in police. I am a divisional inspector. My duties are: to maintain public order, to protect state and personal property, to safeguard the rights of the citizens and, of course, to prevent crimes. My profession is very difficult but very interesting and important for our people.
