Exercise 7. Translate the following sentences into Ukrainian

1. It being late, they decided to postpone their visit. 2. The speaker faced the audience, his hand raised for silence. 3. Weather permitting, the astronomer will proceed with his observation. 4. There being many people at the conference hall, we could not enter it. 5. We continued our work, with our laboratory assistant helping us. 6. Radioactivity discovered, we made great progress in atomic physics. 7. There being no atmosphere, lunar surface is exposed to direct sunlight. 8. Other conditions being equal, the acceleration remains constant. 9. The Earth contains large deposits of iron ore, some of them being almost pure iron. 10. A magnet broken in the middle, new poles are formed at the broken ends. 11. The electric field between the plates being altered, particles of a different velocity may be selected for study. 12. The metals being electrical conductors, they will make very suitable electrodes. 13. The electricity is carried exclusively by the electrons, the atomic nuclei remaining stationary. 14.
