2. Say whether the following statements are true or false:

1. Dr. Coutras was a man to attract immediate sympathy.

2. Dr. Coutras refused to visit Strickland because he wasn’t sympathetic to him.

3. The natives didn’t know the signs of leprosy, they were not afraid of Strickland.

4. Ata didn’t leave Strickland, she transformed into a determined woman and took care of him.
