a) A type of offset printing plate that uses aluminium as its base material, and can be coated with a variety of photosensitive or heat-sensitive layers to carry the image.
b) It is used in an imagesetter. Negative is characterized by the areas carrying image information for print being transparent and the non-printing areas are black. Positive are those with areas carrying image information for print in black and the non-printing areas are transparent.

g) This refers to a colour-proofing system which is used to make proofs for offset and gravure (positive), but also for flexo and newspaper print (negative).
