Упражнение 1. Заполните пропуски неопределенными местоимениями some или any.

1. Is there any water in the glass?

2. I want some milk.

3. There are some pencils in the box.

4. I don't want any ice-cream.

5. Are there any chairs in the room?

6. There are some chairs in the room.

7. There is not any sugar in my tea.

8. Is there any soap in the bathroom?

9. There is some soap in the bathroom.

10. Are there any children in the garden?

Упражнение 2. Вставьте артикль, где это необходимо.

1. There is a park in town.

2. There is a house behind the park.

3. A house is on the hill.

4. There are some rooms in this house.

5. There is a bedroom in the house.

6. The bedroom is very nice.

7. There is a table in the bedroom.

8. There is a black cat on the table.

Упражнение 3. Заполните пропуски соответствующей формой глагола to be.

1. There is a cupboard in the kitchen.

2. There are five chairs in the living room.

3. Is there any milk in the cup?

4. There is a sheet and two pillows on the bed.

5. Are there seven boys in the room?

Упражнение 4. Постройте отрицательные предложения.

1. There isn’t a table and a sofa in the hall.

2. There aren’t five forks and a knife on the table.

3. There aren’t two pillows and a sheet on the bed.

4. There aren’t three pictures in the living room.

5. There isn’t a sink, a fridge and a stove in the kitchen.

Упражнение 5. Переведите следующие предложения, используя оборот there is/are.

1. Справа от моста расположен ж/д вокзал, а слева от моста находится городская библиотека. There is a Train Station to the right bridge, there is city Library to the left bridge

2. Между гостиницей и универсамом есть подземный переход. There is underground crossing between hotel and university

3. На стоянке одна машина. There is a car on parking

4. Кафе, книжный магазин стоят перед универсамом. There is café and bookshop before university

5. Около почты находится магазин игрушек и площадка для игр. There is toy store and playground near post office

6. Среди моих друзей 4 мальчика и 2 девочки. There are four boys and two girls among my friends

7. Слева от магазина есть остановка. There is parking to the left shop
