We are first - year students. We study at Chita State University.

The academic year begins in September. It lasts ten months and ends in June. The first - year students study Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and a number of other subjects. The academic year is divided into two terms. So students take examinations twice a year. During the terms students attend lectures, carry out laboratory tests in the well - equipped laboratories and do practical work. The University has a five - year course of studies. The University has four hostels. All of them are within the walking distance of the University.

The University was founded in1974. It occupies 7 buildings. It covers an area of 77,000 m². There are seven Institutes at the University: the Institute of Construction and Ecology, the Institute of Economy and Management, the Power Engineering Institute, the Institute of Law, the Institute of Socio-Political Systems, the Mining Institute and the Institute of Technological and Transport Systems.

We study at the Institute of Construction and Ecology. The Institute has 17 classrooms and 9 laboratories. At the Institute the students specialize in Building Construction, Road Building (construction, maintenance and repair), Real Estate Management and Environmental Protection (land, water and air pollution and protection and other ecological problems).
